Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://images.craigslist.org/00l0l_gC2vAyBdbU8_600x450.jpg I originally attempted to meet up with the seller, but he was a no show. Found out that he's sold stolen bikes to others in Fremont at the same meet up location he told me. His name is John F Santos and lives near the Chase bank where he wanted to meet, on Fremont Blvd. Be wary when you buy any bikes in Fremont. He is in his late 30's, is Filipino or Hispanic, and is 5'6'-5'7', 150-170lbs. This is Fremont, California, by the way.

In Vancouver BC Canada, on September 29th 2 bikes were stolen from our apartment buildings bike locker. We are looking mostly for the Cervelo P2 as its worth much more then the other tri bike. Its white with red, black & silver and looks exactly like this: http://www.cervelo.com/en/bikes/p-series/p2.html Any tips or tricks on what to do next would be so helpful, and obviously if anyone in the Vancouver area sees someone trying to sell the bike I would love the heads up. Thanks so much!

Check online for sales of your bike ie: kijiji, craigslist, eBay etc on a regular basis. I actually found my bike posted on kijiji today and promptly messaged the 'seller' to buy my bike back. I was on the phone with Calgary Police at the same time. Police were on scene of the would be transaction site. Got my bike back just like that.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=528993353861066&l=c0dc9b1c80 This is the bike and the jerk who stole the bike. Stolen from in front of my house in North end Halifax, Nova Scotia on September 18th. This guy collecting bottles came back to the scene of the crime with it on October 14th. I'm unfortunately too pregnant to be picking fights with random bottle collectors and had to watch him ride away. The bike is a light blue Raleigh Portage mens touring bike. 12 speed. Weirdly enough, the tires that he was carrying, he left behind and appear to be the original tires. The guy is in his 30's or 40's, white but looks kind of weathered, wearing black pants and a tan sweater with a black helmet and a small green backpack. Not a big guy. We're a poor young couple about to have twins (nice sobstory, huh?) and this was my partner's only affordable work transportation. And regardless, it doesn't belong to this jerk. No serial number as we bought it from an auction and stupidly never checked as we didn't expect it to be stolen since it's really not worth much. It was locked when it was taken.

That sorta sickens me..... What an ass.
From the serial number list, the number of Trek frames or bikes made by Merida late in 86 totaled at least 8251. Merida is a Taiwanese bike company that was established in 1972. It is currently a major, worldwide player in the bicycle business.
